The last Friday of August, half past six. The sun is sinking toward the tip of the peninsula, painting the masts in the marina orange. The gates open. For three nights, Kaş sounds different.

Kaş Jazz Festival completed its eighth year in 2026. This guide covers what the festival is, how to get tickets and how to walk from Luna Kaş to the marina. We update the dates and programme section every year.

Not One Kind of Jazz

Each year the festival is built around a theme, bringing musicians from different places and different generations to the same stage. The 2026 theme was “Roots and Migrations” — where jazz draws from, and where it travels. You could hear it in the line-up: London one night, Anatolia the next, a French tuba in between.

In Kaş, jazz isn’t heard in a concert hall but between the masts. The wind is part of the programme.

The 2026 Edition

This section is updated each year when the new programme is announced.

Next year’s dates are usually announced in early summer; the official source is kascazfestivali.com. We update this page as soon as they’re confirmed.

From Luna Kaş to the Marina

No vehicles enter the festival grounds and there’s no parking on site. That’s not a problem — it’s the best part: you leave the hotel and follow the shore along Uğur Mumcu Caddesi. 2.0 kilometres, 26 minutes. Sunset on your left on the way there; the smell of the sea and the night breeze on the way back. By car it’s 2.2 km and 7 minutes, but you’ll leave the car before the marina entrance and walk anyway.

A Festival Day

Late August in Kaş is still midsummer: the sea is at its warmest. The festival happens in the evening, so the day is yours.

Morning — Breakfast on the terrace. If you’re going to the sunrise session, breakfast waits until you’re back.

Midday — The sea. Küçük Çakıl and Büyük Çakıl are within walking distance; going to Kaputaş and returning in the afternoon is easy too. A Kekova boat day won’t fit — save it for before or after the festival.

15:00–17:00 — Hotel, shower, shade. After the August sun, this break is what gets you to the evening rested.

17:00 — An early dinner, then the walk along the shore.

18:30 — Doors. If you want a good spot, you’re there by now.

Night — Concert, after party, the coast road home.

Book Your Room Before the Programme Is Announced

The last week of August is Kaş’s busiest period even without the festival; the festival lands on top of it. Rooms within walking distance of the marina fill first. If you’re coming for the festival, don’t wait for the programme: book on your best guess of the dates and adjust once they’re confirmed.
