The building that Luna Hotel occupies today is the result of a passionate love affair with Kaş. When Gordon and Marion, a couple from England, first visited Kaş in the 1980s, they fell in love with this charming Mediterranean town. With its picturesque streets, warm sea, and friendly locals, Kaş left an unforgettable impression on their hearts. Over time, their visits became more frequent—as is the case for many—and this beautiful place never left their minds. Eventually, they decided to make Kaş their home—more specifically, the land where Luna Hotel now stands.
They found a perfectly located plot between the tranquil hillside and Kaş town center and began building the home of their dreams. Every detail was carefully designed, from the stone walls that stay cool in summer and warm in winter, to the reclaimed wooden finishes sourced from the local primary school. The result was an elegant and warm structure—built by lovers of Kaş, for lovers of Kaş.
In 2019, this special property was taken over by a local team—Ahmet and Can. The building was carefully renovated and, staying true to the spirit of Gordon and Marion, Luna Hotel was born. Having lived in Kaş his entire life, Ahmet grew up in the tourism sector, learning the art of hospitality as a child while helping at his family’s guesthouse. Today, together with his wife Marie and their three children, he has turned Luna Hotel into a truly family-run business.
Can is also a Kaş native who grew up in the tourism world. After meeting his wife Gülşah in İzmit, she too fell in love with this unique coastal town, and together they built a new life here. Alongside Ahmet and his family, they work hand-in-hand to make Luna Hotel a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place to stay—for all who arrive.
